about

24 Bit versions available.

Chris Templeton plays his unique raised fretboard pedal steel called the Tapper, pedal steel and lap steel guitars, combines elements of Rock, Country, Funk, Hawaiian, Americana & world music with his thoughtful rap.

It features twenty-eight backup musicians including, Buddy Emmons, Victor Wooten, his brothers Regi & Joseph, Chuck Campbell, Robert Randolph and Ian Wallace just to name a few.
The Tapper is a pedal steel guitar with a raised fret board which enables me to fret with my fingers as well as using the tapping technique to sound the strings with both hands. The beauty of using this method on a pedal steel guitar is that different strings can be lowered or raised with the pedals and knee levers while fretting. I hope you enjoy this record as much as I have enjoyed making it during the 26 years of learning development and recording. A big "Thank You" to instrument designer Ned Steinberger for for designing the Tapper, which features a second compensated bridge for fretting.
This album was mixed to analog tape before going to digital.

"For those of you who haven't yet heard Chris - hold on to your hats - he is a monster!" Jim Palenscar Owner of Steel Guitars of North County, Oceanside, CA.

"Pedal and Tapper steel guitar virtuoso and New England native Chris Templeton artfully combines beautiful instrumentals and hot jams on his instrument with a star studded cast of guest players and his homespun and good-humored impressions of modern Americana." - Stephen Barncard producer (David Crosby & Graham Nash, Grateful Dead, etc.)
